Syria’s Autonomous Administration records 45 new coronavirus infections
QAMISHLI, Syria (North press) – On Tuesday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced 5 deaths and 45 new coronavirus infections in northeast Syria.
AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, the co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the death cases are of two men from Tabqa, one from Raqqa, and a man and a woman from Shahba region in Aleppo northern countryside where IDPs from Afrin are living.
In the Jazira region, the recorded infections were: 9 in Hasakah, 8 in Qamishli, 4 in Derik, one in Girke Lege, one in Derbasiyah and one in Tirbe Spiye.
In the Euphrates region, the recorded infections were: 7 in Tabqa, 5 in Manbij, 3 in Raqqa, 3 in Deir ez-Zor, 2 in Kobani, and one in Shahba region.
With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 8,900 confirmed cases, including 346 deaths and 1,259 recoveries.
