American forces patrol northeast Syria’s Derik
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the American forces conducted a military patrol in Derik countryside, in the far northeast of Syria.
“A patrol of four military vehicles, along with two helicopters, roamed the southwest countryside of Derik,” local sources from the village of Rubarya in southwest countryside of Derik told North Press.
US forces also patrolled the countryside of Rimelan, with the patrol consisting of four Bradley vehicles, starting from their base in the Rimelan countryside and roaming the southern countryside of the city before reaching the village of Karhawk (Tal al-Arab).
Members of the patrol met with the villagers and inquired about the services in the village, including electricity, water, and roads, in addition to the healthcare situation, according to residents.
After stopping for about half an hour, the patrol returned to its base in Rimelan countryside without air cover.
On March 15, US forces conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik, reaching Ain Dewar village before returning to their base.
