IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Turkish forces bombed sites of the Syrian government forces in the western countryside of Aleppo, northwest Syria.
“The Turkish forces targeted government positions in Quptan al-Jabal village in the western countryside of Aleppo, with rocket launchers,” a field source told North Press.
“The Turkish shelling comes in response to the government forces’ shelling of the Sheikh Barakat area and the outskirts of the town of Darat Izza in the western countryside of Aleppo,” the source added.
In the same context, the opposition groups bombed the positions of the government forces in the northern countryside of Latakia and eastern Idlib, with artillery shells and Grad rockets.
A military source told North Press that al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room targeted military gatherings of the government forces in Jobas ,and Jabal al-Akrad areas in Idlib and Latakia countryside.
Idlib governorate and parts of other governorates are included in the agreement signed by Russia and Turkey on March 5, 2020.
