Turkish military vehicle in Syria’s Idlib targeted, soldier wounded

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, a Turkish military vehicle exploded in Idlib, northwest Syria, resulting in the injury of a Turkish soldier.

“Unidentified persons planted an IED on the road connecting the city of Idlib and the Bab al-Hawa border crossing, as it exploded while a convoy of Turkish forces passed,” local sources from the region told North Press.

“The explosion led to the burning of a vehicle of the Turkish forces, and the injury of the driver,” the source added. 

There have been frequent incidents of targeting Turkish convoys in Idlib governorate, especially on the road between Idlib city and the Bab al-Hawa crossing.

On February 24, unidentified assailants targeted an armored vehicles of the Turkish forces with an RBG missile near the town of Kafraya, wounding a Turkish soldier.

In December 2020, unidentified persons targeted a Turkish post near the town of Ram Hamdan, north of Idlib, with a guided missile, wounding a Turkish soldier.
