Deaths and new coronavirus infections in Syria’s Autonomous Administration

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Health Board in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced two death cases and 26 coronavirus infections in the Autonomous Administration-held regions.

AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, the co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that two women from Tabqa died from the virus.

The new infections were recorded as follows: three cases in Hasakah, ten in Qamishli, four in Derik, two cases in Tabqa, six cases in Manbij, and one case in Kobani.

With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 8,689 confirmed cases, including 328 deaths and 1,252 recoveries.

On Friday, the Health Board recorded 15 new coronavirus infections and one recovery.
