SDF arrests terror suspects in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested two men accused of targeting its operatives in the town of Jadeed Bakkarah, east of Deir ez-Zor.

On Wednesday, unknown persons assassinated two SDF members after the targeting of a military checkpoint in the same town, while another was wounded as a result of the attack.

The forces of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, with the participation of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), launched a campaign to arrest the wanted individuals in the towns of Jadeed Bakkarah and Jadid Akedat, a military source told North Press.

Three wanted suspects were arrested in connection with the killings, the source added.

Kalashnikovs and individual weapons were found during the arrests.
