New batch of Syrian IDPs leave Hawl camp to Deir ez-Zor

HAWL, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, 65 Syrian families left Hawl camp, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria, and headed to their homes in Deir ez-Zor countryside.

This is the 13th batch to leave the camp after the initiative of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) and tribes’ sheikhs to exit the Syrians from the Hawl camp.

“The new batch consisted of 65 families of total 264 people from Deir ez-Zor and its countryside,” Hawl Camp Departure Office official, Mounir Muhammad, told North Press.

“They were departed under the decision issued by the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria,” Muhammad added.

Muhammad pointed out that they sent them out after completing the procedures of verifying the documentaries provided and that they are continuing to work on this.

In October 2020, the AANES Executive Council issued a decision to send Syrian families in Hawl Camp out according to an initiative by the SDC and the will of tribal sheikhs of the area.
