Syria’s autonomous northeast records two coronavirus deaths
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 19 new coronavirus infections and 2 deaths in its areas on Thursday.
The official AANES Facebook account quotes Health Board co-chair Jiwan Mustafa, who stated that the new recorded deaths were a man and a woman.
The new recorded infections were 7 women and 12 men.
The recorded infections were four in Qamishli, six in Hasakah, three in Rimelan, one in Derik, two in Amuda, and one each in Raqqa, Tabqa and Kobani.
According to the new statistics on new cases of coronavirus in the Autonomous Administration regions, the number of infections has risen to 8,648, including 326 deaths and 1,251 recoveries.
During this week, AANES-held areas witnessed a rise in the coronavirus cases following a decrease in the last week, recording three deaths and 21 infections on Tuesday.
