Syria demands UN Security Council to end Israeli attacks

DAMASCUS, Syria (north Press) – On Monday, the Syrian government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the UN and the Security Council to “take firm and immediate measures to suppress the repeated Israeli attacks,” according to the official SANA agency.

“The Syrian Arab Republic has repeatedly called on the Security Council to condemn the repeated Israeli attacks on its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to take firm and immediate measures to suppress these attacks,” the Ministry said.

The Syrian government warned “Israel of the grave consequences of its ongoing attacks, and held it fully responsibility.”

On Sunday, official government media reported that air defenses responded to “Israeli aggression” in the vicinity of Damascus.

The attack that took place on Sunday, was the seventh Israeli attack on Syria since the beginning of 2021.
