Turkish military reinforcements enter northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North press) – On Monday, the Turkish forces sent new military reinforcements to their observation points in Idlib, northwest Syria.
The Turkish military convoy entered the Syrian territories through the Kafr Lossin border crossing and headed to the Turkish points in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, local sources told North Press.
The Turkish convoy consisted of armored vehicles and trucks loaded with ammunition, logistical materials and prefabricated rooms, in addition to many tanks, according to the source.
The Turkish army has continued to send more military reinforcements to Idlib, since the beginning of this year, coinciding with the military escalation between government forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups.
There are about 13,000 Turkish soldiers and 9,000 Turkish military vehicles in northwest Syria, according to reports.
The Turkish forces have set up more than 60 military points and bases in the governorates of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama and Latakia in the northwest of the country ,since its military intervention in Syria.
