Body found in Syria’s eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Residents of the town of ash-Sha’fah, 110 km east of Deir ez-Zor, found the body of a young man near the bank of the Euphrates River.
The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor is witnessing kidnappings and killings for unknown reasons. Most of these operations are claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS).
A local source from the town told North Press that 27-year-old Fadi Hamid Mohsen, from the town of ash-Sha’fah, left his home at two o’clock in the afternoon to the Euphrates River to fish there, and after two hours the residents found his body near the bank.
On February 11, residents of Diban town, 45 km east of Deir ez-Zor, found the body of a young man near Omar water station in the town.
