Russian forces conduct joint patrol with Turkey in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian Military Police conducted a joint patrol with Turkish forces in the eastern countryside of Syria’s Kobani, which is the 45th patrol between the two forces in the region.

The patrol, consisting of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set off from the village of Gharib, 15 km east of Kobani.

The patrol passed through several villages, including Baghdik and Bandar Khan in the western countryside of Tel Abyad, before returning to its starting point in the village of Gharib.

The Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey from the gate near the village, while Russian vehicles returned to their base near the radio tower west of Kobani.

On February 22, Russian Military Police and Turkish forces conducted their 44th joint patrol in the western Kobani countryside.
