Civilian shot by unknown persons in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, a civilian from the town of al-Shuhail, 40 km east of Deir ez-Zor, was shot by unknown gunmen on a motorcycle.
Masked men shot at a young civilian in al-Zer neighborhood of al-Shuhail town, wounding him, a local source told North Press.
The young man was shot in his leg and was transferred to the hospital for treatment, the source added.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the support of the Global Coalition, are intensifying their security operations to pursue ISIS cells in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
On February 18, a civilian was shot dead by unknown persons riding a motorcycle near Atal Roundabout in the same town.
