Mutual shelling erupts between government forces, opposition groups in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Different areas in the countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria, and both countryside of Latakia and Hama witnessed mutual shelling between Syrian government forces and the opposition groups, on Friday.
Sources from Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room announced that they targeted a group of Syrian government forces in Sirmaniyah in Ghab Plain, west Hama.
It is believed that the targeted group in the countryside of Hama is affiliated with the Russian-backed 25th Division, according to the same sources.
Meanwhile, the opposition groups shelled the town of Dadikh, east Idlib, and targeted the government forces’ posts in Zawiya Mountain, south Idlib.
This took place after the government forces targeted opposition posts in the villages of al-Sukariya, Shaghar, al-Hussiniya, and al-Maouzrah, west Idlib, with dozens of shells, reporting no certain information regarding losses in these areas.
On Friday morning, Russian warplanes targeted the opposition posts in Kabani in Jabal al-Akrad, north Latakia.
