Russian warplanes target opposition posts in Syria’s south Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Russian warplanes conducted airstrikes on the Syrian opposition’s posts south Idlib countryside following an easy calm.

Russian warplanes targeted the opposition fortifications on the frontlines of the town of al-Bara, south Idlib, with high-explosive missiles, field sources told North Press.  

The Russian airstrikes coincided with the Syrian government intensive shelling on the opposition posts in the southern countryside of Idlib and western countryside of Hama, without casualties reported, the sources added.  

The Syrian government forces shelled the opposition gatherings in the villages and towns of Benin, Deir Sunbul, Shanan in south Idlib, and the towns of al-Ziyarah in Ghab Plain, western Hama countryside, with more than 40 shells, field sources told North Press.
