Unknown persons explodes building in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday evening, unknown persons blew up a building, hours after the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) left it and handed it over to the Health Board, in the town of Shehail, 40 km east of Deir ez-Zor.

A military source told North Press that unidentified persons detonated the building with explosive devices, which led to its complete collapse.

Members of the SDF had completely evacuated the building hours earlier and handed it over to the Health Board of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council to rehabilitate it to serve the residents of the area, according to the source.

For two years, the building was used as a military headquarters by the SDF, and no party has adopted the bombing so far.

A while ago, unknown persons blew up a primary school in the town of Tayyana, 55 km east of Deir ez-Zor, without knowing the cause of the explosion.

The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor witnesses almost daily killings and bombings, and ISIS sleeper cells are accused of.
