Casualties in a motorcycle explosion in Syria’s east Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, a motorcycle exploded in the middle of a popular market in al-Busayrah town, 35 km east of Deir ez-Zor, leaving casualties.

“Three civilians, including a child, were killed and others were wounded, mostly children and women as an initial toll,” a military source told North Press

“The wounded were transferred to a hospital in Jedaidat Akidat town, 20 km east of Deir ez-Zor for treatment,” the source added.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) imposed a security cordon in the region immediately after the explosion, the source noted.

The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been recently witnessing an increase in the ISIS sleeper cells’ activities, where members of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the employees of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria are being targeted.
