Casualties among ISIS members due to clashes with Iraqi forces

ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – On Saturday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and Popular Mobilization Forces declared in two separate statements, the killing of several Islamic Staten (ISIS) members during clashes in Diyala province, north Iraq.

“A qualitative operation was launched to fight ISIS remnants in Zor Khanaqin, where a suicide bomber, who wore an explosive belt, was trapped and killed in addition to arresting three others,” Iraqi Ministry of Interior said in the statement.

“The terrorists, including the main funder of ISIS in Bahizah, were planning to wage criminal actions against civilians and security forces; however, legal measures were taken against them in preparation for their trial,” it added.

On Saturday, the Ministry of Defense announced the arresting of a terrorist, who has been wanted by the judiciary on an arrestment warrant, in K1 in Kirkuk province.  

The statement pointed out that four homemade missiles of different sizes and mortar bomb were found west Nineveh.

On Saturday, a statement by Popular Mobilization Forces’ Media Directorate mentioned that a group of their forces clashed with an ISIS group north Baghdad where three ISIS militants and three Popular Mobilization fighters were killed.
