IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, armed opposition groups shelled sites of the Syrian government forces in the southern countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria.
A field source told North Press that the Fateh al-Mubin operations room targeted military gatherings of the Syrian government forces with artillery shells and Grad rockets in the town of Ma’arat al-Na’asan, south of Idlib.
The bombing caused direct casualties among the government forces, amid intense flying of the Syrian warplanes over the area, the source added.
The targeting comes in light of the military escalation in the de-escalation zone between the opposition groups and the Syrian government forces.
