Autonomous Administration employee killed in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, an employee of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria (AANES) was shot dead by unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle in Hajin city, 110 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor.
A military source told North Press that the gunmen were riding a motorcycle and fired three shots at Thabit al-Dakheel, who works as a night watchman for the People’s Assembly in Hajin.
The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) imposed a security cordon at the entrances of Hajin after the incident, according to the source.
Earlier in February, the residents of Hajin found the body of a youth near the Euphrates River bank.
On February 11, a civilian was seriously wounded by unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle in Hajin.
