Turkey shells villages in Shahba, Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, Turkish artillery shelled the vicinity of villages of Tel Qarah and Tel Sosin in the Shahba area, in the northern countryside of Syria’s Aleppo.
“Turkish artillery targeted the villages of Tel Qarah and Tel Sosen, in Shahba area with artillery shells, without news of the size of the damage caused by the bombing,” local sources told North Press.
Sources from Serdem Camp for the displaced from Afrin mentioned that “several shells fell near the camp,” without any injuries reported.
Turkish artillery bombarded residential houses in the villages of Maranaz and Ain Daqna to the north of Aleppo on Thursday.
Recent Turkish artillery shelling has increased on towns and villages in the Shahba area, causing human casualties and material damage.
Thousands of families displaced from Afrin city and its environs have been living in Shahba after Turkey invaded the region in 2018.
