IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the armed opposition groups bombed sites of the Syrian government forces in Idlib and Latakia countryside, northwest Syria, without casualties or material damage reported.
“The opposition groups bombed military gatherings of the government forces in Kurd Mountain in the northern countryside of Latakia with heavy artillery and missiles,” a military source told North Press.
“A missile attack launched by opposition groups targeted government forces’ fortifications in Ma’arat al-Numan region, south Idlib,” the source added.
On Monday, the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria announced, it monitored 35 bombing operations carried out by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Idlib within the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
The de-escalation zone has been witnessing military escalation between Syrian government forces and armed opposition groups since the beginning of 2021.
