American forces partrol Derik countryside, northern Syria

DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, American forces conducted a patrol in the Derik region, in the far northeast of Syria.

The patrol consisted of four armored vehicles, with no air cover to secure their course. It left the city of Derik, patrolling the villages in the western countryside of the city, heading towards the Semalka border crossing with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

US forces conduct almost daily patrols in the Derik area, particularly in the oil-rich regions.
