Iraqi refugee critically wounded in Syria’s Hawl Camp

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, an Iraqi refugee was critically wounded in Syria’s Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, after being targeted by unknown attackers who are likely Islamic State (ISIS) agents.

The administration of the camp transferred Abu Muhammad al-Biza’i to a hospital in Hasakah for treatment in the intensive care center after he sustained three bullet wounds to the chest and the abdomen.

A source from the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Hawl Camp told North Press that they were informed about the shooting that took place in the sector of the Iraqi refugees, while Asayish transferred the wounded to the medical point, which transferred him to a hospital in Hasakah.

Since the beginning of the year, Hawl Camp has been witnessing increasing murdering operations against Iraqi and Syrian IDPs and an Asayish member through either silenced pistols or sharp tools.

The source added that ISIS agents that have been operating in the camp have been conducting the successive operations.
