2 new coronavirus cases in Syria’s northwest

DLIB, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Interim Government, a Syrian opposition government based in Turkey and associated with the Syrian National Coalition, announced a new coronavirus toll in opposition-held areas in northwest Syria on Friday. 

The Interim Government announced through a spreadsheet published on its official website the registration of 2 new cases of coronavirus and 33 recoveries, as well as the testing of 469 suspected cases.

On Thursday, the Interim Government recorded 4 new cases of coronavirus and 9 recoveries. 

The newly recorded infections brought the official toll to 21,062 cases in northwest Syria, including 407 deaths and 17,130 recoveries, according to health organizations.

The northwestern regions of Syria are witnessing a decrease in the number of coronavirus infections compared to the previous period, according to the figures of the Interim Government.
