Armed attackers target SDF member in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North  Press) – On Friday, unknown armed attackers fired a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) member east Deir ez-Zor countryside, east Syria, wounding him, while SDF media office announced that their fighters arrested terrorists during two security operations.

Unknown attackers, who were riding a bike, targeted the SDF member Imad al-Nahisi with a silence pistol, a local military source from al-Shaheel told North Press.

Al-Nahisi was shot in the shoulder and the waist and was transferred to the hospital of Omar field for treatment, the source added.

Early today, unknown targeted SDF military vehicle with an IED wounding two members in the town of Muhaymidia, west Deir ez-Zor.

On Friday, SDF media office stated that During the past two days, their forces arrested nine terrorists during two security operations with the suppot of the Global Coalition against Islamic State (ISIS).

On its official website, SDF media office added that SDF fighters confiscated weapons, ammunition, and connection devices with ISIS members.

A week ago, SDF arrested dozens of terrorists and confiscated ammunition in Deir ez-Zor during the first day of the military operation against ISIS.

Deir ez-Zor countryside has been witnessing several attacks against SDF members since early February despite the security tightening imposed by the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

On Thursday, ISIS claimed responsibility for the killing of members of the SDF, AANES employees, and some clan notables in the past period
