DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, an unidentified young man was shot dead by unknown persons riding a motorcycle in the town of Hawayej, east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
“Masked men, who were riding a motorcycle, shot an unidentified young man to death while he was walking on Hawayej Road,” a local source from Hawayej told North Press.
The young man is about thirty years old, and he has not been identified by the residents of the area, as they did not find any identification papers or evidence indicating his identity, according to the source.
“It is likely that the young man was an IDP from the west of the Euphrates area,” the source noted.
The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor is witnessing assassinations, including members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), employees of the Autonomous Administration, notables and tribal sheikhs.
