IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Interim Government, a Syrian opposition government based in Turkey and associated with the Syrian National Coalition, announced a new coronavirus toll in opposition-held areas in northwest Syria on Tuesday.
The Interim Government announced through a spreadsheet published on its official website the registration of 9 new cases of coronavirus and 28 recoveries, as well as the testing of 420 suspected cases.
The northwestern regions of Syria are witnessing a decrease in the number of coronavirus infections compared to the previous period, according to the figures of the Interim Government.
The newly recorded infections brought the official toll to more than 21,050 cases in northwest Syria, including 407 deaths and 17,064 recoveries, according to health organizations.
On Monday, the Interim Government recorded 8 new infection, 62 recoveries, and no deaths form the virus.
