Five wounded in government bombardment on Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Five people wounded in the town of al-Bara in Zawiya Mountain, Idlib southern countryside due to shelling by Syrian government forces on Tuesday.
“The government forces targeted positions of the opposition groups in al-Bara town with artillery shells and rocket launchers on Tuesday,” a military source told North Press.
“The bombardment led to the injury of five people including two children,” the source added.
The bombardment coincided with intensive overflight in the area, according to the source.
In the same context, the al-Fateh Al-Mubin Operation Room announced the target of military gatherings of the government forces in Zawiya Mountain, south Idlib.
“The target resulted in the killing and injury of several members of the government forces,” a field source said.
The de-escalation zone in northwest Syria is witnessing military escalation between the government forces and opposition groups, amid residents’ fears of a potential military operation there.
