Body of unknown woman found in Syria’s Idlib countryside
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Residents of Ram Hamdan village found the body of an unidentified woman on Tuesday, on the road connecting Ram Hamdan and Zardana, north of Syria’s Idlib.
Areas controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front) in Idlib are witnessing a state of security chaos, leading to an increase in murders and assassinations which have claimed the lives of dozens of civilians in the region.
Local sources told North Press that the body of an unidentified woman thought to be in her twenties was found on Tuesday, near the village of Ram Hamdan.
The source added that medical examination of the body revealed that the cause of the woman’s death was a gunshot wound and several blows to the head.
This is the second murder in the area in 24 hours, after the body of a young man was found dead in the village of Qaminas, southeast of Idlib.
