SDF arrested ISIS families’ smuggler in Syria’s Hasakah countryside

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the arrest of a wanted person in Hasakah countryside, on Monday, who was working in smuggling the families of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) members.

The SDF Coordination and Military Operations Center tweeted, “Our special units from the SDF detained a wanted ISIS family smuggler in Hadadiya, south of Hasakeh, with air surveillance support from the International_Coalition.”

It added that the operation resulted in the arrest of the wanted person, without disclosing his name or the smuggling network in which he works with.

In January, the SDF announced the arrest of a person who was smuggling ISIS members and families from Hawl camp, east of Hasakah.

The wives of ISIS militants try to escape from the camp from time to time. The security forces foiled many attempts, but some of them fled.
