One new coronavirus case in northwest Syria

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) –  On Sunday, the Syrian Interim Government, a Syrian opposition government based in Turkey and associated with the Syrian National Coalition, recorded a new coronavirus case and 49 recoveries in opposition-held areas in northwest Syria.

Northwest Syria is witnessing a decrease in the numbers of coronavirus infections, according to the statistics of the Interim Government, since mid-January 2021. The Syrian Interim Government announced, via spreadsheets on its official website, the testing of 294 suspected cases.

On Saturday, the Syrian Interim Government recorded a new case of coronavirus and no deaths in northwestern Syria.

With the newly announced cases, the total number has risen to 21,033 cases, 407 deaths, and 16,974 recoveries in the opposition-held regions.
