Syria’s Tel Tamr Military Council repels Turkish army attack
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, a source in the Tel Tamr Military Council said that the Tel Tamr Military Council’s fighters responded to an attack launched by the Turkish army and its affiliated groups in the Tel Tamr countryside.
The source added in a statement to North Press that “the Turkish army and the Syrian opposition groups tried to infiltrate from the village of al-Qasimia, north of Tel Tamr, to the village of Umm al-Keyf in the northern countryside of the town.”
The source pointed out, “In the meantime, Tel Tawil and Tel Karabit villages, west of Tel Tamr, are being bombed with mortar and artillery shells by the Turkish army.”
He said that these aforementioned villages are witnessing, in the meantime, “sporadic clashes between the two sides,” and until this moment there has been no news on the results of the clashes.
Tel Tamr, located on the line of contact with the Turkish forces and its affiliated groups, is witnessing from time to time repeated attacks and shelling.
