Government forces shell opposition posts in Syria’s de-escalation zone

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, Syrian government forces continued to bomb the fortifications and posts of Syrian armed opposition groups west Aleppo countryside, within the de-escalation zone.

The government forces targeted the opposition’s fortifications in different areas with artillery shells and missiles, a local source from the town of Teqad, west Aleppo countryside, said. 

The government bombardment caused material loses in both the public and private properties reporting no human casualties, the source added.

Other sources of North Press mentioned that the government bombardment targeted the villages of Ain al-Hamra and Hirsh Binin west and south Idlib countryside, amid an intensive flight of warplanes and reconnaissance.

This morning, several opposition fighters lost their lives and others were wounded during a targeting by Syrian government forces in Ghab Plain, west Hama countryside.

The military escalation by the government forces and the opposition groups is takeing place despite the Russian-Turkish signed understanding to halt the military operations in the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
