SDF arrests ISIS sleeper agent in Syria’s Shaddadi

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) managed to arrest a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the city of Shaddadi, south of Hasakah, on Wednesday.

“Our Special Units of the SDF with air surveillance by the Global Coalition arrested a member of an ISIS sleeper cell,” a military source told North Press.

“He was arrested during a security operation in the city of Shaddadi, and he is in charge of facilitating money transfer to the active sleeper cell in northeastern Syria, and all documents and equipment of him were seized,” the source added. 

Yesterday, the SDF arrested three ISIS operatives in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor who were in charge of transporting weapons and money to the organization’s cells.
