SDF arrests ISIS operatives transferring money in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested three ISIS operatives in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor who were in charge of transporting weapons and money to the organization’s cells.

On Wednesday, a military source from the Syrian Democratic Forces told North Press that their special units, with air support from the Global Coalition, carried out a raid in the al-Fadin area north of Deir ez-Zor.

The operation resulted in the arrest of three members of a cell transporting weapons and money and carrying out attacks in the area. Military equipment and documents in their possession were confiscated.

The source did not disclose how the cell obtained the weapons and money or how they transferred them to other cells.
