SDF arrests ISIS operative in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – TheSyrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested a wanted Islamic State (ISIS) operative in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor on Monday.
The SDF’s Coordination and Military Operations Center announced on their Twitter page that they had carried out a raid in the town of Busayrah, east of Deir ez-Zor, with participation of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.
The SDF added that the operation resulted in the arrest of an ISIS operative who had planned and carried out “most of the terrorist operations” in the region.
The SDF’s special forces confiscated military equipment in the possession of the operative, though they did not reveal the identity of the individual.
