Civilian wounded in Turkish strike on Syria’s Kobani countryside

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – A civilian was wounded during a Turkish drone bombardment on a house in the southern Kobani countryside, north Syria on Friday.

The bombing critically wounded a civilian and caused material loses in the house in the village of Minit south Kobani.

A medical source in a hospital in Kobani told North Press that the condition of the 37-year-old wounded “has become stable after he sustained critical injuries in the right foot.”

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) said that the wounded civilian was hit by several pieces of shrapnel as a result of the Turkish drone strike.

In June, a Turkish drone bombed a house in the village of Hilinj in the southeast Kobani countryside, causing four women to lose their lives, including a feminist activist.

In a statement on Friday, the Asayish leadership accused Turkey of constantly seeking to “destabilize security and stability and create chaos.”

It called on the Global Coalition “to shoulder its responsibilities towards the repeated Turkish aggression.”
