ISIS claims assassination of real estate office owner in Syria’s Bab
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Islamic State (ISIS), through its social media outlets, claimed the assassination of Taha Na’sani, the owner of a real estate office in the city of Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
On Monday, unknown persons riding a motorcycle assassinated Na’sani in front of his office in al-Iman neighborhood in the city of Bab.
A private source told North Press that Na’sani owns the Nobeleh real estate office, in addition to owning a weapons shop affiliated with the Levant Front group operating in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The city of Bab, 30 km from the southern Turkish border, has been under the control of Turkish forces and armed opposition factions since 2017.
During the past two months, ISIS announced its responsibility for several security operations it carried out in the areas held by the opposition groups in northwestern Syria.
On the 19th of December 2020, posters and papers belonging to ISIS were seen in the neighborhoods of Bab city threatening to liquidate all real estate agents in the city and describing them as apostates.
The residents held Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups responsible for the security chaos, which resulted in causalities among civilians.
