Turkey establishes outposts and guards on Aleppo-Latakia road
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces established on Monday, two outposts in western Idlib and east of Latakia, on the Aleppo-Latakia M4 highway.
On Sunday, the Turkish forces sent a military convoy that includes dozens of vehicles to the Syrian territories to support their points in Idlib governorate, northwest of Syria.
The Turkish forces deployed guards along the Aleppo-Latakia road in Idlib countryside, aiming to protect the bridges along the road, which extends between the cities of Ariha in the southern countryside of Idlib, to Ain Hoor area in the countryside of Latakia.
A field source told North Press that dozens of Turkish trucks carrying cement blocks entered through Kafr Losin border crossing, in the northern countryside of Idlib, and headed towards the Aleppo-Latakia road.
The source added that the Turkish forces began to place the guards, starting from the village of al-Kefir near Jisr Shugur in the western countryside of Idlib, and building them gradually, reaching Ain Hoor.
The source indicated that the guards are made of cement and armored glass, and their aim is to protect bridges.
Turkey increased its presence in the region, as it intensified the entry of its convoys to Zawiya Mountain area in the southern countryside of Idlib, and began to explore areas west of Zawiya Mountain area, to reach the borders of al-Ghab Plain areas, to place military points inside them.
On Monday, the Turkish forces explored Qastun area in the al-Ghab Plain region, aiming to set a new military post for their forces.
