Syrian government forces continue shelling opposition in Syria’s Idlib, Hama

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Syrian government forces renewed their shelling on the armed opposition groups’ sites in the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.

Government forces targeted opposition fortifications in the villages and towns of Faetira, Sofhon, Kensafra, and Bara in the de-escalation zone with shells and missiles, an opposition military source told North Press.

The government shelling targeted the villges of Ziyara and Sarmaniye in Ghab plain, west Hama countryside, recording no casualties, the source added.

Additionally, the government shelling caused widespread destruction to public properties in the aforementioned areas, according to the source.

The de-escalation zone has been recently witnessing military buildup and mutual shelling between the government forces and the opposition groups in Idlib, Hama, Aleppo, and Latakia.
