IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces sent a military convoy consisting of dozens of vehicles into Syria on Wednesday to support their points in Idlib governorate, northwestern Syria.
The convoy, consisting of dozens of Turkish vehicles, entered in batches and headed to areas of Turkish army deployment in Idlib, field sources told North Press.
The convoy included armored vehicles and trucks loaded with ammunition, logistical items, and prefabricated rooms, in addition to a large number of tanks and heavy artillery, according to the source.
The reinforcements entered the Syrian territories through Kafr Lossin border crossing and went towards Turkish bases in Zawiya Mountain, where military escalation is ongoing.
On December 26, a Turkish convoy consisting of 15 armored vehicles loaded with military and logistic equipment entered Syrian territory and headed towards Zawiya Mountain.
Military sources reported to North Press that the Turkish army was deployed on the front lines between the government forces and opposition groups.
There are about 12,000 Turkish soldiers and 9,000 military vehicles deployed in more than 60 points in northwestern Syria.
