Civilian was killed by unidentified persons in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor countryside
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A civilian was killed on Monday evening, by unidentified persons in the town of Sousa in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
Local sources reported that two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle shot a driver in the town of Sousa.
They added that the victim was anonymous and did not carry any identification documents.
On Monday, a person was injured as a result of shooting by unidentified persons on motorcycles in a town east of Deir ez-Zor.
In recent months, the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor has witnessed an increase in the activity of Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cells, leading the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the US-led Global Coalition to intensify their security operations.
