Turkish troops, Turkish-backed opposition renew shelling on Syria’s northeast Ain Issa

AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and its affiliated armed opposition groups renewed the shelling on the northeastern outskirts of Ain Issa, north Raqqa, on Saturday.

The Turkish troops and the opposition groups renewed their shelling on the villages of Jahbal and Misherfah northeastern Ain Issa, a military source told North Press.

The village of Jahbal has been witnessing an almost continues Turkish artillery shelling and daily clashes between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Turkish-backed opposition groups for a week.

Turkey signed two ceasefire agreements with both Russia and America in October 2019 after conducting  a military operation against each of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Abyad (Gere Spi), north Raqqa.

SDF confirmed on Tuesday that Turkish troops and opposition groups had intensified their shelling on Ain Issa killing and wounding fighters of the attackers.
