Three wounded in explosion in Syria’s Sere Kaniye
SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – Three people were wounded in an IED explosion inside a shop in the market of the city of northern Syria’s Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) on Thursday.
According to local sources, the explosion happened inside a supermarket on the road to Hasakah, wounding three civilians inside the shop.
12 militants were killed and others were wounded in a VBIED explosion near a military checkpoint in the southern neighborhood of the city of Sere Kaniye, including three Turkish soldiers, on 10 December.
The city of Sere Kaniye has been occupied by Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups since the Turkish invasion of northeastern Syria in October 2019.
Syrian opposition-held areas have been witnessing a state of security chaos, accompanied by frequent bombings, kidnappings of civilians, and internal fighting, according to media and human rights reports.
