Members of Syrian government forces killed in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Turkish-backed armed opposition groups announced on Monday the killing of members of Syrian government forces in the southern countryside of Idlib.

A military source told North Press that a group from the armed opposition targeted government forces with an anti-armor missile and machine gun near the village of Kawkabah, south of Idlib Governorate.

The source added that the targeting resulted in the death of several members of the Syrian government forces.

Earlier, the sniper company in the Al-Fateh al-Mubin operations room announced the killing of several government forces in the town of Hass, south of Idlib.

The de-escalation zone has been witnessing military escalation and mutual shelling between government forces and armed opposition groups for months, in conjunction with the evacuation of a number of Turkish military points.
