Russian Police conducted patrol in Syria’s northeast Derik
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – The Russian military police conducted on Wednesday, a military patrol in the countryside of Derik, northeast Syria.
The patrol which consisted of four armored vehicles covered by two helicopters, set out from its military base in the city of Qamishli.
The patrol headed towards the village of Ain Diwar and stopped near the archaeological Roman Bridge, adjacent to the Turkish border.
The patrol returned to its base in Qamishli selecting the border road.
Recently, the Russian police have intensified its patrols in Derik, trying to establish a military post in the area amid the residents’ protests.
