Body of Iraqi refugee found in Hawl camp in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – TheSecurity Forces found on Saturday, a body of a 20-year-old Iraqi refugee, who was fired in the head, in Hawl camp, east Hasakah, northeastern Syria.   

“The incident took place at about 08:00 a.m. on Saturday, without knowing the perpetrator or perpetrators,” a security source from the camp told North Press.

The Iraqi refugee, who lived in the first sector with his wife and daughter, worked in the service department with the camp administration.

The security forces started investigations about the incidents in order to recognize its circumstances.

The camp has recently witnessed an escalation in killing and violence. Accusations are directed towards ISSI sleeper cells.

On November 21, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found the body of an IDP from Deir ez-Zor countryside who was killed intentionally, according to a source inside the camp.

Hawl camp includes the largest number of women and children of ISIS families, whose number reaches 11,000, according to the camp administration.

The total number of its residents are more than 65,000, distributed over 13,000 tents, and among them are more than 40,000 children.
