Unidentified persons kill a civilian in Azaz, northwestern Syria

AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – A young civilian was killed on Monday, by unidentified persons on the road linking the villages of Kafr Ghan and Shamarin, east of Azaz, in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Since they have been taken over by the armed opposition groups, the northwestern areas of Syria have been witnessing a state of security chaos and instability.

On November 7, an IED was detonated in a car belonging to the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) near Shamarekh camp, on the road between the camp and the village of Shamarin, north of Azaz.

A local source told North Press that gunmen, who were in a car, shot Ahmad al-Mustafa, 30, a resident of Tal Hussein village, north of Aleppo.

The city of Azaz has been under the control of the Turkish military forces and affiliated armed opposition groups since July 2012.

This comes days after the Islamic State (ISIS) announcement a series of attacks in the opposition-held areas, including the detonation of an explosive device that killed three members of the civilian police in Bab.
