Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) release 22 detainees of Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
SHADDADI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Shaddadi, south of Hasakah, released 22 detainees, who were arrested in the recent security campaigns for the SDF, and they have not dealt with the Islamic State (ISIS).
Jasour Amude, the leader of Shaddadi Military Council, said that the detainees had been arrested in the recent security campaigns carried out by the SDF in Markadah and the town of al-Suwar in Deir ez-Zor countryside.
He added to North Press that they were released by tribal mediation from the sheikhs of the region, after the necessary investigation procedures, it was found that their hands were not stained with the blood of the people of the region, and they did not belong to ISIS.
SDF had recently arrested people from separate areas in Deir ez-Zor on accusations of dealing with ISIS and participating in the riots and violence that took place in the region.
